Job Description: The Underwriting Senior Credit Analyst is an integral part of the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) organization. The mission of Underwriting is to provide first-class credit risk analysis, monitoring, and administration, in partnership with the corporate bank and risk, as part of a shared commitment to ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending at Citi. Underwriting analysts and associates are responsible for a portfolio of corporate relationships, owning the credit risk analysis for these relationships and ensuring ongoing monitoring of this portfolio. This includes producing initial credit approvals, transaction approvals, annual reviews, quarterly reviews, and supporting ad hoc portfolio and industry reviews as well as stress testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi's most complex clients (large corporations, public sector, and financial institutions) by performing fundamental counterparty credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative factors.
Write comprehensive credit analyses while assigning internal credit risk ratings based on independent assessment and judgment, taking into account client due diligence and industry knowledge.
Ensure ongoing monitoring of the covered portfolio, including tracking industry trends, impacts on key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to Underwriting, Risk, and Banking partners.
Collaborate with relevant regional and sector stakeholders in Banking and Independent Risk for the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios.
Other duties as needed to support the objectives of the business unit and the company.
Required Experience:
Demonstrable experience in financial services, including 8-10 years of credit experience in banking, credit risk management, or equivalent credit experience.
Strong proficiency in English and French (written and oral).
Desired Profile:
Strong analytical skills, including an understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile) with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate issues on the horizon.
Experience in risk analysis for both corporates and financial institutions will be an advantage.
Advanced industry research capabilities, including risks and key drivers.

Formation / Diplômes
