Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is recruiting for open roles at Fairmont Norfolk, a historic hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. This luxury establishment features 170 rooms, 4 restaurants, and 5 main buildings of one to two stories, with iconic Tudor architecture preserved since its original construction.

Cluster IT Manager

Contract type: Full-time | Qualification: Bachelor's degree (Bac+3/4) | Field: Information Technology

Reporting to the Cluster Hotel Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operational management of IT, including relationship management with hotel general managers, the executive committee, department heads, and other key users. Planning and budgeting of IT expenses for the hotels, in accordance with Accor IT policies and guidelines. Development of business cases to justify investments and expenses related to information technology. Production of regular reports on the hotel's IT status for the Cluster GM and VP IT / Cluster Hotel Manager. Initiation and management of IT projects, and advising the Cluster GM on strategic IT issues. Ensuring the hotel works with Accor's hardware partners and maintaining good relationships with them. Supporting the hotel in resolving hardware issues through escalation to partners. Hardware includes: computers, servers, routers, switches, cables, PABX, monitors, screens, point-of-sale terminals, interfaces, UPS, and other active components. Ensuring the application of all Accor IT policies and guidelines within the hotel. Ensuring that only original and properly licensed application programs are run on the hotel's systems. Maintaining good relationships with software vendors and supporting the hotel in resolving software issues through escalation. Ensuring that no user has access to programs other than those necessary for their work. Establishing and maintaining an IT training program (in coordination with the Training and Development department) to ensure the best level of knowledge and use of systems by all employees. Ensuring the hotel's compliance with Accor's IT security policy and the General Data Protection Regulation. Responsible for backing up all relevant user data, whether part of the general system or personal systems. Ensuring that backup policies are followed and that the system achieves the highest level of security.

Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel. Strategic thinking, results-oriented, process-driven, and detail-oriented. Ability to inspire and motivate a team, provide clear direction and development to achieve revenue goals. Positive influencer, good communicator, and team collaborator. Strong listening skills and ability to anticipate business needs. Ability to establish and develop relationships with business partners and intermediaries. Ability to build strong connections with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the hotels' strategic direction. Proficiency in English. Strong decision-making skills, calm under pressure, and ability to prioritize workflows.

Job Field ICT / Computer Job Description Reporting to the Cluster Hotel Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for operational IT management which includes relationship management with Hotel GMs, EXCOM, HODs and other business-critical users. Responsible for the proper business planning and budgeting of IT expenditures for the Hotels, as well as for compliance with the Accor IT policies and guidelines.

Creating business cases for justification of investments and expenditures to support the approval process in regard to Information Technology. Responsible for a regular status report about the hotel's actual IT situation to the Cluster GM and to the VP IT / Cluster Hotel Manager. Initiates and manages IT projects and consults the Cluster GM on strategic IT matters concerning the Hotel. Ensures that the hotel works with Accor Hardware partners. Has a good relationship with Hardware Partners. Supports the Hotel in resolving Hardware issues through escalation of issues with Hardware partners. Considered as Hardware: Computers, Servers, Routers, Switches, Cables, PABX, Monitors, and Screens, Point of Sale devices, all relevant interfaces, UPS and related devices, and other active components. Ensures that all Accor IT Policies and Guidelines are being applied in the hotel.

Ensures that only original and properly licensed application programs according to the IT management’s policy and requirements are running on the hotel’s systems and computers. Has a good relationship to the Software providers. Supports the hotel in resolving Software issues by escalating of issues to Software providers. Ensures that no user in the hotel has access to programs other than those needed to perform the job. He/she is in charge of providing and maintaining a training program matters IT (in coordination with the Learning & Development department) This is to enable the best possible knowledge, skill level, and use of systems by all employees in the Hotel. Responsible for compliance of the Hotel with Accor IT Security Policy and General Data Protection. Responsible for the backup of all relevant user-generated data, be it part of the general system or personal systems. He/she assures that there is always relevant backup policies are duly respected and the system reaches the highest level of security. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a five-star hotel. Strategic thinker, results-driven, process-oriented, and attentive to details. Missions principales

Plan, coordinate, and manage domestic and international sales missions, roadshows, trade shows, and industry exhibitions while ensuring effective budget management. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies. Prepare annual account plans, sales forecasts, revenue projections, and business development strategies. Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Catering, and Operations to maximize revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Negotiate contracts, preferred partnership agreements, and rate proposals in line with hotel revenue objectives. Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, and pipeline management within Opera and other CRM systems. Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports to the Director of Sales. Mentor and support junior sales team members by sharing best practices and assisting with account development where required. Represent the hotel and brand at industry associations, networking functions, and promotional events to enhance market presence. Ensure full compliance with company sales standards, brand guidelines, and corporate policies. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales or Commercial leadership team. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive luxury hotel sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leisure sales role. Proven experience managing international leisure markets and luxury travel partnerships. Strong understanding of luxury hospitality, destination marketing, and global travel distribution channels. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets. Experience participating in international trade shows, sales missions, and industry events. Skills & Attributes Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive luxury hotel sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leisure sales role.
