International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is recruiting an intern (Internship) on a fixed-term contract.
About ILRI: The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works to improve food security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for better and more sustainable use of livestock. ILRI is a CGIAR research center, a global research partnership for a food-secure future.
The position: Internships are short-term academic training opportunities for young professionals who join ILRI for a short period (usually 3 months or less, but can be up to 6 months) as part of their academic curriculum and who must resume their studies at the end of their internship. The internship aims to help students connect theory to practice, as well as to train young minds in animal agriculture. Interns work five days a week under the supervision and mentorship of a staff member from the department or program to which they are assigned.
Desired profile: Candidates must, at the time of application, meet the following requirements: be enrolled in an undergraduate university program, with at least one full semester before graduation. Through strategic partnerships, ILRI also offers internship opportunities to students enrolled in diploma and certificate programs, as well as to upper secondary school students. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in English.
