The Sahel Program Director will lead and manage Mercy Corps' programs in the West & Central Africa region, focusing on strategic direction, program design, and business development. This role involves building relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure impactful programming that addresses urgent needs, climate solutions, and economic security. The director will oversee program implementation, compliance, and quality assurance while fostering an evidence-driven culture. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to inspire teams and drive program success in complex environments. BA/S or equivalent in relevant field required, MA/S preferred Seven years of senior-level leadership and program management experience Experience in the Sahel region Technical knowledge in Mercy Corps P2P outcome areas Experience in multi-country program design and implementation Knowledge of international humanitarian system and compliance requirements Experience with funding from major donors Robust experience in developing and implementing program strategies Expertise in representation and negotiation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Solid project management skills Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills Fluency in English and French
