Role Overview

Vetsark is building a high-growth agribusiness platform focused on scaling access to chicken and fish all year round, improving farmer productivity, expanding access to working capital, and strengthening food distribution systems across Nigeria.

The Chief of Staff will work directly with the CEO to support strategy, execution, and coordination across the company. This role is designed to help translate proven pilots into commercial services, ideas into structured plans, ensure key initiatives are executed effectively, and improve alignment across teams.

The role sits at the center of the organization and provides exposure to operations, fundraising, partnerships, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Support

Work closely with the CEO to develop and refine business strategies

Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making

Build business cases, financial models, and strategic frameworks

Prepare briefing notes for meetings with investors, partners, and stakeholders

Execution and Project Management

Translate strategic priorities into clear action plans

Track progress of key initiatives across Vetsark and related projects

Follow up with team members to ensure deadlines are met

Identify bottlenecks and help resolve execution challenges

Communication and Documentation

Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and internal documents

Draft memos, proposals, and external communications

Support the CEO in communicating with investors, partners, and stakeholders

Ensure clarity and consistency in internal and external communication

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work across operations, commercial, finance, and program teams

Ensure alignment between different departments and initiatives

Support weekly meetings and performance tracking processes

Investor and Partnership Support

Assist in preparing materials for fundraising and grant applications

Track partnership opportunities and engagement pipelines

Support follow-ups and communication with investors and partners

Founder Support and Productivity

Help structure the CEO’s priorities and workflows

Ensure meetings are well-prepared and productive

Track key decisions and action points

Support the CEO in focusing on high-impact activities

What You Will Be Doing Regularly

Working directly with the CEO on strategic, financial, and operational tasks

Writing and structuring documents, reports, and presentations

Tracking execution across multiple projects

Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders

Solving problems and improving processes

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by:

Speed and quality of execution on key initiatives

Quality of strategic materials and communication

Level of alignment across teams

Effectiveness of CEO support

Progress on high-priority business goals

Requirements

4-8 years experience in strategy, consulting, operations, or startups

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates may come from:

Consulting (strategy or management consulting)

Startup operations or strategy roles

Investment, research, or business analysis roles
