Job Title: Store Assistant

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit Warehouse Store Assistant to support inventory and warehouse operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role involves receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality

Unload, sort, label, and store products in designated locations

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company standards

Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to prevent expiry or wastage

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free

Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scanners)

Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times

Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based)

Conduct routine stock counts and assist in periodic stocktaking

Monitor stock levels and report damages, shortages, or discrepancies

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess an OND in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Accountingwith 1-2 years experience.

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control

Physically fit and able to lift heavy items

Skills & Competencies:

Inventory and stock management

Time management and efficiency

Teamwork and communication

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment (may involve heat, dust, or cold storage areas)

Prolonged standing, lifting, and manual handling

Shift work, including weekends or overtime as required
