PROJECT BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE The project "Strengthening Resilience to Climate Change of Vulnerable Populations through Sustainable Forestry Resources Management" (TG02) runs from 2024 to 2027. It is funded by the Korea Forest Service (KFS) of the Republic of Korea. GGGI is implementing this project in partnership with the Togolese Ministry of the Environment, Forest Resources, Coastal Protection and Climate Change (MERFPCCC). The project has three main outcomes: Outcome 1: Local governance and knowledge management of the shea parklands strengthened. Outcome 2: Reforestation of high-quality shea trees, establishment of a screening and post-harvest management system to improve income and provide technical guidance. Outcome 3: Improved protection and delivery of shea landscape scale mitigation, adaptation, and climate resilience for climate change through direct engagement of women and youth cooperatives, integration with inclusive livelihood approaches and early warning services. The project works in four regions of Togo within specific municipalities: Avé 1 (Maritime), Tchamba 2 (Centrale), Dankpen 3 (Kara), and Oti 2 (Savanes). In each region, there is a

1-hectare Education and Demonstration Center and a surrounding planting area of about 500 hectares. This makes a total project area of 2,000 hectares across the four regions. To support effective project implementation in the field, coordination, and stakeholder engagement in the Savanne, Kara and Central regions in Togo , the project seeks to recruit an Individual Consultant in each region to provide technical, administrative, and coordination support under the guidance of the Project Manager. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT The objective of this assignment is to provide support in the

performance of administrative duties required for delivery of the project in Savanne, Kara and Central regions in Togo. S/he will be based in either Savanne, Kara and Central region . S/he will provide day-to-day support to project activities and processes; be present in the engagement with stakeholders in the region to provide information or clarifications in the process steps. S/he will organize and filter information consistent with subject and delivery standards to ensure accuracy and applicability. SCOPE OF WORK The consultant is expected to deliver, inter alia: Support all field work activities of the project; support community involvement at the targeted landscape restoration sites of the project. Well-organized project documentation and records. Regular progress updates to the Project Manager. Support to successful implementation of project activities as planned. A. Stakeholder Engagement support Support engagement with relevant local government institutions, including local authorities, local technical services local communities, farmer groups, forest user groups, and other grassroots stakeholders to provide information or clarifications Assist in organizing and documenting stakeholder meetings,

consultations, workshops, and field missions. Support follow-up on action points and commitments agreed with government and community stakeholders. Assist in preparing briefing notes, meeting minutes, and stakeholder communication materials. B. Technical Support (Forestry and livelihood) Support field-level activities, including site visits and data collection, Assist in compiling technical inputs, progress updates, and lessons learned from project interventions. Support coordination with technical consultants, service providers, and implementing partners. C. Administrative and Operational Support Provide administrative support to the Project Manager for day-to-day project operations. Assist in procurement and recruitment processes in line with project and organizational procedures. Support organization of travel, logistics, and field missions. Assist in tracking project activities, timelines, and deliverables. Maintain organized project files and documentation (both electronic and hard copy). D. Reporting and Knowledge Management Support preparation of biannually, annually and ad hoc progress reports. Assist in consolidating inputs for donor reporting and internal reviews. Support documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and challenges. Assist in data management and basic monitoring of project indicators. EXPERTISE REQUIRED The Consultant for Field Project Assistance will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and perform the following

Governance, or a closely related field. 2 . Experience Analytical Skills: logical thinking and writing abilities. Demonstrated ability to analyze field data and summarize

findings clearly. Stakeholder Support: Proven experience in project field experience and supporting local rural stakeholders and small-scale cooperatives. General Experience: At least 02 years of professional experience in organizational development, cooperative support, natural resource management, or the forestry sector. Specific Experience: At least 1 year of direct project support experience on shea tree or in the shea value chain; Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English 3 . The consultant will be based in the region and is expected to conduct field activities from a based arrangement (no office will be provided). GGGI will provide official introduction letters to help the consultant engage with regional authorities, mayors, and traditional chiefs.
