Read more about this company Accountant Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience 1 - 2 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit   Job Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, cash transactions, and company ledgers. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Track production costs, including raw materials, labor, fuel, and other operational expenses. Monitor inventory of raw materials and finished products and reconcile stock records regularly. Record and reconcile daily sales transactions and customer payments. Prepare and process employee payroll and statutory deductions. Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory obligations. Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence to approved budgets. Conduct periodic financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profitability improvement. Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation. Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities. Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ATS is an added advantage. 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or block production environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience in inventory management and stock reconciliation. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
