Advocacy & Communications Intern, Nairobi, Kenya Organization: Save the Children Country: Kenya City: Nairobi Office: Save the Children Nairobi, Kenya ROLE PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Head of Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications & Media, the Advocacy and Communications Intern supports the design and implementation of advocacy, campaigns, and communications initiatives and projects. The role aims to support departmental efforts to strengthen visibility, influence key stakeholders, and amplify organizational messages through effective content creation, media engagement, and digital communication strategies. The intern contributes to research, storytelling, and coordination efforts that advance advocacy priorities and public engagement. The intern will help to conduct research, develop materials and resources, assist with organizing events and meetings, and provide general administrative support to the advocacy team. S/He will also support the country office to deliver strategic and timely communications support for any ongoing humanitarian response under the guidance of the Humanitarian Communications officer. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Head of Advocacy and Campaigns Contract duration: 6 months KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Advocacy Support Assist in researching policy issues, advocacy trends, and stakeholder positions. Contribute to the development of advocacy materials such as briefs, fact sheets, and position papers. Support coordination of campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagements. Track and document advocacy activities and outcomes.
