Africa Finance Programme

The Africa Finance Programme (AFP) is a 12-month development journey designed for high-potential finance professionals. It aims to accelerate your career by strengthening your technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and business acumen within our finance function.

From day one, you will be immersed in real business challenges, ensuring practical, hands-on experience while working closely with experienced finance leaders and cross-functional teams.

Successful candidates will join a structured development programme covering key finance areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, Controlling, Treasury, and Risk Management across different geographies in Africa. Upon successful completion, participants will join our Finance Talent Pool and be positioned for critical finance roles within the organization.

Programme Structure

The programme is divided into two key phases:

Phase I: Corporate Onboarding

A foundational learning phase providing a comprehensive understanding of Olam Agri’s businesses, functions and operating model. This phase is designed to build strong fundamentals on how we manage performance, risks, and value creation.

Phase II: Finance Rotations & Functional Exposure

A hands-on development phase across different finance functions. You will work on real business projects, gain exposure to diverse markets, and build end-to-end financial understanding. During this phase, you will be mentored by senior finance leaders and supported by HR to accelerate your development.

Phase III: take on a dedicated role within the business, with clear responsibilities and performance objectives. This phase allows you to consolidate your learning, demonstrate impact, and prepare for your next role within the organization.

What We Are Looking For

At Olam Agri, we are committed to identifying and developing top talent:

Master’s degree in finance or related field Professional certification such as ACCA, FMVA, DFCE, ICAN (or equivalent) Around 3–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Audit, or Consulting Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages such as French or Portuguese are a plus Strong analytical mindset and business acumen Willingness to work across Africa, including remote locations Agile, curious, and ready to grow in a fast-paced environment
