Electromechanical Engineer – Project Manager - Ouagadougou

We are seeking a highly experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager, responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and operation of power station projects in Burkina Faso. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of the local market and regulatory environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage power plant projects from planning through execution and commissioning phases. Oversee all electromechanical activities related to power generation systems, including installation, testing, and maintenance. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities. Monitor project progress and prepare regular technical and financial reports. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards in Burkina Faso. Manage project risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies effectively. Support operational readiness and transition from construction to operation phase. Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in power plant projects, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role. Proven experience in managing power stations (diesel, HFO, gas, or renewable energy projects). Strong knowledge of the Burkina Faso market and regulatory framework.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment. Language Requirements: Fluent in English and French (mandatory). Arabic language is an added advantage.
