This role involves managing teams, optimizing processes, meeting production targets, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 9 to 5 Applicant Location: Ghana Job descriptions & requirements Key Responsibilities Production Management Supervise day-to-day production activities, including injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes. Ensure production schedules are met in alignment with delivery timelines. Monitor machine performance and production output, making adjustments as necessary. Minimize downtime by coordinating with maintenance teams for quick resolution of equipment issues. Team Leadership & Supervision Manage, train, and supervise production staff, including machine operators and line supervisors. Assign tasks and monitor workforce productivity and efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development plans. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Quality Control Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address defects and implement corrective actions. Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures. Process Improvement Identify areas for process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Implement lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor KPIs such as yield, scrap rate, and cycle time. Inventory & Materials Management Coordinate with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials. Monitor material usage and minimize waste. Ensure proper storage and handling of plastic resins and additives. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate production records and reports. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports. Communicate production status, challenges, and improvements to senior management. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Experience:  3–5 years of experience in a plastic manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with processes such as injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is required. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Good knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Familiarity with manufacturing principles Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Basic proficiency in production reporting tools and MS Office Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Production output vs. target Machine downtime and efficiency Product quality (defect rate, rework levels) Safety compliance and incident rates Waste reduction and cost control Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems Knowledge of ISO quality standards Certification in health & safety or manufacturing (advantageous) Location : Volta Region, HO Salary : Attractive Log In and Apply Important safety tips Do not make any payment without confirming with the Jobberman Customer Support Team.
