Country Director Cameroon, Yaounde, Cameroon Organization: Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Country: Cameroon City: Yaoundé Office: NRC in Yaoundé, Cameroon Country Director Cameroon Yaounde, Cameroon Job Description About the Context Cameroon is affected by three complex humanitarian situations: displacement caused by violence in the Lake Chad Basin and in the North-West and South-West regions and the presence of refugees from the Central African Republic (CAR) in the eastern regions. Viciously violent and frequent incursions against civilian populations have been a hallmark of the crisis in the Far North region. The 2026 Cameroon Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP) identifies over 2.9 million people in need of humanitarian assistance and protection services. Humanitarian needs in Cameroon are driven by multiple crises, resulting in displacement, protection concerns, and limited access to basic services and sustainable livelihoods. NRC began operations in Cameroon in 2017. From its area and field offices in Bamenda, Batouri and Kousseri , NRC responds to the three ongoing crises, and delivers Emergency Response, Education, Legal Assistance, Shelter, and WASH programming alongside Durable Solutions.
