Job Vacancy For School Counselor

Beacon International School is seeking to recruit School Counselor with ability to teach for immediate employment.

Job Description

  • Student Support: Providing individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, or personal challenges like trauma, bullying, or stress.

  • Academic Guidance: Assisting students with goal setting, study skills, and interventions for academic progress.

  • Career Counseling: Conducting assessments to help students identify talents and interests, and providing guidance on post-secondary pathways.

  • Crisis Intervention: Responding to immediate distress and providing support during emergencies.Collaboration: Working with teachers and parents to implement intervention strategies and student well-being programs.Preventive

  • Education: Developing workshops on topics such as mental health awareness, drug abuse prevention, and healthy relationships.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Education: Minimum: A Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or Education is typically required for entry-level roles.

  • Advanced: Many reputable schools, particularly at the secondary or international level, require a Master’s degree in School Counseling or Counseling Psychology.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication, computer literacy, and an understanding of ethical and legal guidelines related to mental health.
