Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Training Instructor who will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs in electrical engineering. The role involves facilitating both theoretical and hands-on sessions to enhance trainees’ technical competencies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and providing guidance and mentorship to learners.

The Instructor will also support curriculum development and continuously update training content to reflect emerging trends and technologies in electrical engineering.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and deliver structured training programs in electrical engineering, covering fundamental and advanced topics.

Conduct in-house, virtual, and onsite training sessions.

Design and update course materials, including manuals, presentations, and assessments.

Ensure training content aligns with industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements.

Actively support the marketing and promotion of scheduled and customized training programs to potential corporate and individual clients.

Identify client training needs, provide technical guidance on suitable courses, and contribute to converting inquiries into confirmed bookings.

Collaborate with colleagues to achieve training enrollment and revenue targets, and proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling advanced and specialized courses.

Ensure all instruction manuals are reviewed in accordance with the review schedules within a year

Practical Training & Industry Application

Oversee hands-on training in electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and control systems.

Supervise trainees in practical and workshop sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Incorporate real-world case studies and problem-solving exercises to enhance learning outcomes.

Assessment & Reporting

Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure trainee performance and competency.

Submit detailed training reports, including trainee progress, feedback, and areas for improvement.

Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and attendance.

Mentorship & Support

Provide guidance and technical support to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment.

Assist in career development initiatives by advising trainees on industry best practices and certifications.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols and health regulations in training environments.

Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards related to training activities.

Maintain and inspect training equipment, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards

Data Protection & Record-Keeping

Safeguarding trainee records and personal data in compliance with data protection regulations

Ensure confidentiality of training materials and proprietary information.

Other Tasks

Conduct regular Stock Taking exercise of all Training Equipment and tools inventory

You may be required to perform other tasks as may be assigned

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DUTIES

You will be responsible for the following process:

Commercial Training Asset Management

Commercial Training Execution

Commercial Training Planning

Your responsibility is to follow all the activities outlined in the process to ensure the process’s quality objectives are achieved. Reference the ERP on the process and applicable documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), Forms, Guidelines and Checklists.

Required Skills or Experience

**QUALIFICATIONS &

EXPERIENCE

**

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering training or a related technical role.

Teaching or instructional experience in a technical training environment is preferred.

Certifications in electrical safety and professional training are an added advantage.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.

Complete understanding of codes and standards.

Must be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing

Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members

Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies

Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines

Should have a strong moral code and sense of ethics

Good Communication and Teaching skills.

Should be able to adapt and develop quick understanding to the technological changes and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.

Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects

Working knowledge in MS Office (especially Power point)
