Holy Family Mission Hospital (HFMH) is under Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) under the Archdiocese of Blantyre. It is situated in Phalombe district. Applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position below are being invited:
JOB TITLE: SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (GRADE J)
Reporting to: Pharmacist.
Assist in overseeing all daily Pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Provide sound leadership to his/her subordinates Checking stocks and making orders from bulk store Pre-packing drugs ready for dispensing Issue required medicine to patients and give instructions on how to use and store the medicine Management of pharmaceutical supplies for Hospital wards Prepares limited range of medicines including packaging and labeling under pharmacist’s supervision Ensure correct drug storage in all pharmacy units Keeping adequate records of all stocks movement into and exiting pharmacy units Ensure proper and complete recording of data in relevant registers and instruments, timely compilation and analysis of data, perform routine monitoring following HIMS guidelines, take necessary action for improvement and submit quarterly and other reports to the designated officer Any other duties deemed reasonable for the post
Strong ethical leadership skills and team management abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and compliance Problem-solving, multi-tasking and decision making skills Must be willing to work even in an odd hours
A minimum of Diploma in Pharmacy from approved and recognized institution Those People with a Degree will have an added advantage
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a busy Hospital.
