Roles and Responsibilities – Provide comprehensive medical assessments, diagnoses and treatment for patients presenting with various medical conditions. – Lead the clinical management of patients with complex or serious medical conditions, ensuring appropriate treatment and continuity of care. – Conduct ward rounds, review patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings. – Manage medical emergencies, provide immediate interventions and coordinate referrals where specialized care is required. – Oversee the clinical management of patients with chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. – Provide clinical guidance and supervision to medical officers, nurses and other healthcare professionals. – Ensure appropriate use of diagnostic investigations, including laboratory tests and radiological examinations, to support clinical decision-making. – Maintain accurate patient medical records, clinical reports and treatment documentation. – Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical protocols. – Promote patient safety, professional ethics and adherence to established healthcare standards. Requirements – Relevant academic and professional qualifications for the position applied for. – Valid professional registration and practising licence, where applicable. – Relevant working experience will be an added advantage. – Strong communication skills, professionalism and commitment to quality patient care.
