FTTX Site Engineer Location: Dar es Salaam / Dodoma, Tanzania Job Summary We are looking for an experienced FTTX Site Engineer to support the implementation and delivery of FTTX projects in Tanzania. The role will be responsible for on-site construction supervision, quality control, progress monitoring, technical coordination, and project acceptance. Key Responsibilities – Supervise daily FTTX site activities, including fiber optic cable installation, ducting, civil works, ODN construction, and related activities. – Monitor site progress and ensure construction activities are completed according to project plans, technical standards, and schedules. – Coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, customers, and internal project teams to resolve site issues. – Conduct site inspections and ensure construction quality and HSE requirements are properly followed. – Check and verify installation quality, materials, work methods, and site documentation. – Support testing, commissioning, punch-list closure, and project acceptance. – Prepare daily/weekly site reports, progress updates, and other project documentation. – Identify and report site risks, technical issues, delays, and resource requirements in a timely manner. – Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate site access, construction activities, and project delivery. – Perform other site engineering and project-related tasks assigned by the Project Manager. Requirements – Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. – 2+ years of experience in FTTX / FTTH / fiber optic network projects. – Familiar with FTTX construction processes, including fiber optic cable installation, ODN, ducting, splicing, and testing. – Experience in site supervision and subcontractor management. –
