Reporting Line: Branch Manager Job Purpose To grow the bank’s customer base and business portfolio by acquiring new customers, mobilising deposits, promoting banking products, meeting monthly sales targets and delivering excellent customer service. Duties – Prospect, acquire and onboard new customers while identifying potential market segments and business opportunities. – Drive the growth of CASA accounts, term deposits, fee income and other retail banking products. – Cross-sell savings and current accounts, insurance, cards, mobile banking, internet banking and alternative banking channels. – Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. – Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls and follow-ups to convert prospects into active customers. – Prepare daily sales, customer-call and business-development reports. – Support branch sales campaigns, promotional activities and market-development initiatives. – Monitor customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions. – Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and business continuity requirements. – Perform any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager or line manager. Requirements – A university degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from a recognised higher learning institution. Work Experience – Fresh graduate or a candidate with at least one year of relevant direct sales, customer service or relationship-management experience. Personal Attributes – Strong sales, customer-service and relationship-building skills. – Excellent verbal, written and reporting skills. – Target-driven, proactive and able to perform under pressure. – Ability to build professional networks and engage customers confidently. – Strong decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills. – Able to manage detailed and time-sensitive assignments. – Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. – Willing to conduct regular customer visits and outdoor sales activities.
