Job overview

BRT is the English acronym for "Bus Rapid Transit" called in French "Bus à Haut Level de Service" (BHNS), circulating on lanes reserved for them. It is a system of Collective Transport in Clean Site (TCSP), like a tram. The BRT is an innovative project integrating the environmental and social dimension at the heart of its concerns. In an urban context marked by rampant car pollution, one of the major challenges of the BRT project will be to contribute to improving air quality in the Dakar agglomeration. The project is committed to an eco-responsible approach resolutely oriented towards the adoption of good environmental practices during the works and the commissioning of the BRT such as the integration of a gender approach and the commitment of stakeholders guaranteeing sustainable social acceptability. Finally, the implementation of the BRT project will significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of local populations, promoting youth employment and opening up communities.

Main duties

The CFH/F Technician helps to ensure the proper operation and safety of electrical installations and equipment:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the following installations and equipment in compliance with safety, regulatory, quality, cost and time constraints:
• Electric transformers;
• Bus battery chargers;
• Generators;
• Photovoltaic panels
• Lighting relamping,
• Electrical distribution & electrical cabinets,
• Inverters,
• Electromechanical doors ...
• Ensure the maintenance of the reliability of installations and equipment (controls, tests, measurements ...) and carry out work of modification or repair of electrical installations and electrical equipment;
• Contribute to the safety of interventions by issuing consignments;
• Contribute to the traceability and improvement of maintenance operations, in particular through the use of GMA;
• Diagnose breakdowns and perform the necessary troubleshooting;
• Recommissioning of facilities and equipment;
• Ensure compliance with the maintenance plan;
• Participate in receptions of strong current equipment;
• Supervise outsourced maintenance work. Prerequisites for the position Skills
• Know how to read and interpret electrical plans and diagrams;
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a small team, proactive and able to take initiative;
• Strong autonomy, dynamism, versatility and great rigor;
• Ability to interact in a structured and fluid manner in French (English desired);
• Serene and very good stress management ability;
• Valid permit B;
• Good practices in occupational health and safety. Qualification Bac Pr/ BT / BTS / DUT / Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Electrotechnics, Electric Energy.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in strong current maintenance in the industry;
• Experience in the field of transport infrastructure would be a plus. Knowledge
• Good knowledge in strong running;
• Good knowledge in energy conversion, electrical engineering, electromechanics and automation;
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and their architectures;
• Office Pack;
• Use of CMMS.
