Versatile Officer — International Rescue Committee (IRC), Niger, Diffa region. Full-time position, in person. Job application number: JR . Deadline for applications: 30 October 2026.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s most serious humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, security, education, economic well-being and self-reliance to populations devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein, IRC is one of the world’s largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Present in more than 40 countries and 29 American cities, it helps people survive, regain control of their futures and strengthen their communities. If you are a passionate, solution-oriented person who wants to contribute to change, join us and help make a difference in the lives of millions of people around the world for a better future.

Presentation of the organization

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a non-political, non-profit and non-religious humanitarian organization that provides assistance to refugees around the world. IRC has implemented programmes to promote sustainable solutions for displaced people, refugees and host communities through public health, sanitation, shelter, rehabilitation and education projects. IRC has been serving refugees since 1933 and is present in 40 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as through an integration assistance program in the United States. The IRC is an organization committed to freedom, human dignity and autonomy. This commitment is reflected in well-planned integration assistance, emergency assistance worldwide, and advocacy for refugees.

Since the early 1980s, Niger has always been ranked at the bottom of the UN Human Development Index. More than half of the population is chronically food insecure and one in ten people are extremely food insecure. • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
