We are looking for a Head Cashier. Job Purpose Manage cash receipts and authorised payments, safeguard funds and maintain accurate daily cash records. Main Responsibilities Open and close the main cash desk and receive customer payments. Check payment amounts, banknote authenticity and supporting documents before authorised disbursements. Record all transactions accurately in the cash management system and maintain the cash journal. Supervise secondary cash desks, allocate authorised cash floats and consolidate cash returns. Count and reconcile cash daily and immediately report shortages, surpluses or other irregularities. Safeguard funds, respect cash holding limits and prepare bank deposits. Submit daily cash statements and supporting documents to Accounting, archive records and participate in cash checks.
A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3–4 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong communication and comprehension skills. Proactive, reliable, organised, and professionally presentable.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and handle confidential financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant cash-management or accounting software.
