VRMC is recruiting for the following positions for which detail job specifications are attached for candidates’ perusal: Location: Field Locations, Lofa County, Republic of Liberia Reports To: Mechanical Engineer Contract Type: Fixed Term Job Summary: Via River Mining Company (VRMC) Incorporated, a private business corporation established under the laws of Liberia to acquire applicable license and undertake gold mining & related activities in Lofa County as authorized by the Government of Liberia. This role provides mechanical installation & pipe fitting technical services to VRMC mining operations in Liberia. Qualifications & Essential Requirements Degree in mechanical engineering or related field from a recognized university or technical vocational institute Minimum five (5) years of verifiable pipework, welding or mechanical installation experience. Practical experience with HDPE butt fusion/electrofusion and/or steel pipe welding. Ability to install pumps, valves, flanges, gaskets, supports and water lines. Summary of Job Description This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation support of piping, water lines, slurry lines, pumps, valves, hoses, and related utility systems around the gold wash plant operations. The role will support continuous plant operation by ensuring that all water supply, discharge, drainage, and process piping systems are properly installed, safely operated, and maintained in good working condition. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair piping, hoses, valves, fittings, pumps, and water/slurry lines. Support wash plant installation, commissioning, relocation, and daily operation. Inspect piping systems regularly for leaks, blockages, wear, pressure loss, or damage. Carry out preventive maintenance on water supply, drainage, slurry, and process lines. Assist with pump connections, hose routing, pipe replacement, and plant modifications. Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize plant downtime. Maintain safe and clean working conditions around the wash plant and water systems. Coordinate with plant operators, mechanics, welders, electricians, and site supervisors. Follow site safety procedures, environmental requirements, and operational instructions. Report material needs, spare parts requirements, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
