We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Sabo, Yaba - Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time-Onsite, 8am-5pm

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance, driving strategic growth, and safeguarding assets.

The role combines financial stewardship, risk management, and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Provide insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Oversee capital structure, funding strategies, and investment decisions.

Financial Management & Reporting:

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.

Oversee internal controls and audit processes.

Operational Leadership:

Lead and manage the finance and accounting teams.

Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with other executives to align financial strategies with operational goals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate financial performance and strategy to the board of directors, investors, and external partners.

Build strong relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Performance Metrics

Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Achievement of revenue, profit, and cash flow targets.

Effectiveness of risk management and compliance.

Contribution to strategic growth initiatives.

Employee engagement and leadership within the finance team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., ICAN preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in financial management, with proven leadership experience.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional decision-making.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of financial modeling, corporate finance, and investment analysis.

Expertise in accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Proficiency in Excel, Sage 50, QuickBooks or any other financial software.

Salary

N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
