Expérience
This is a highly practical role. We are looking for someone who has a good foundation in engineering with curiosity, resourcefulness and a willingness to test, learn, and improve. Lead carbon-project planning: work with the team to understand carbon-credit requirements and design the stove to satisfy them Develop designs suitable for manufacture at scale, including material selection, component requirements, tool and equipment requirements, efficient assembly methods and quality control. Identify and evaluate available materials, components, and equipment locally, working closely with local suppliers to develop a steady, high-quality, and cost-efficient supply of materials to manufacture 50,000 stoves. Establish a quality control system for stove manufacturing, including inspection criteria and testing to ensure we meet our project requirements. Work with independent laboratories and the Onja Carbon team to prepare stove samples for testing, ensuring designs meet applicable international technical and carbon-project requirements. Support field distribution by ensuring any technical failures or user issues are addressed promptly, incorporating lessons into future design and manufacturing processes. - •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
- •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
- •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
- •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
- •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
- •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
