AGE Africa is looking for a dynamic and committed District Officer to lead the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of AGE Africa’s CHATS life skills and Scholarship programs across partner schools in Kasungu District. About AGE Africa AGE Africa is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the education, leadership, health, and economic opportunities of girls and young women. Through scholarships, life skills, mentorship, and community engagement, AGE Africa works with schools, communities, government, and other partners to help girls thrive and reach their full potential.
ROLE SUMMARY
The District Officer will: Coordinate and monitor CHATS and Scholarship programs across partner schools.
Build strong relationships with District Education, District Social Welfare, schools, government, communities, and development partners. Lead community engagement and promote girls’ education and gender equality. Supervise, coach, and support program staff, mentors, and interns. Ensure quality data, monitoring, documentation, and timely reporting. Manage and account for program activity funds in line with AGE Africa policies. Represent AGE Africa at relevant district-level forums and support partnerships and collaboration.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project/Program Management, or a related field.
3–5 years’ progressive experience in program/project management, preferably in development work. Experience managing staff, volunteers, or community-based teams. Strong stakeholder engagement and community mobilization skills. Experience working with schools, government, NGOs, or development partners. Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and organizational skills. Commitment to gender equality, girls’ education, and youth empowerment.
