African Bible College (ABC) Mission Hospital in Lilongwe, is a busy health facility under CHAM (Christian Health Association of Malawi) dedicated to provide excellent care to patients of all ages. The hospital is seeking suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated individuals with high integrity to join our growing team in the following vacant position. Nurse Midwife Technician Key Responsibilities: Provide safe, quality and patient-centred nursing and midwifery care. Provide antenatal, maternity and postnatal care and monitor mothers and newborns. Monitor patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Identify high-risk pregnancies and facilitate timely referrals. Assist and support mothers during labour and provide newborn and breastfeeding support.
Provide patient and family health education, counselling and effective communication. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and use the SmartHealth system at all times. Maintain clinical equipment and supplies and promote a safe care environment. Participate in clinical team meetings, quality improvement activities and continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Council of Malawi. Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi .
Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-care skills.
