SOCAFT is hiring a Senior Accountant Douala The Société Camerounaise de Supplies des Travaux (SOCAFT) is recruiting a Senior Accountant to strengthen its administrative and financial team. Douala. Specialized in interior architecture, decoration, layout and custom wood joinery, SOCAFT has been supporting individuals and companies for several years in the design and realization of their interior spaces. As part of the development of its activities, the company is looking for an experienced professional able to take charge of accounting, financial monitoring and the different fiscal and social obligations of the structure.

Main duties

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for: maintain the general and analytical accounting of the company; record, verify and control the various accounting entries relating to purchases, sales, banking, cash, payroll and fixed assets; regularly carry out bank reconciliations; follow-up of the treasury; manage accounts receivable and suppliers; follow up on billing, settlements, raises, lettering and timelines; prepare and send on time tax and social declarations, including VAT, taxes and CNPS declarations; participate in monthly and annual accounting closes; prepare the financial statements and the tax bill; develop dashboards and various reports for the Directorate; contribute to the preparation and monitoring of budgets; participate in the cost control and analysis of the profitability of the various projects; ensure compliance, reliability and proper archiving of accounting documents; collaborate with auditors, accountants and tax administration services.

Candidate profile

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Accounting and Finance or a related discipline such as: Audit; Management control; Management; Finance;

Education / Qualifications

or any other equivalent training.

Experience

A professional experience of at least 3 years on a position of accountant or senior accountant is required. The candidate must have an excellent knowledge of OHADA and the revised SYSCOHADA, as well as a good command of Cameroonian taxation. Technical skills In particular, the candidate must master: Sage Accounting and Business Management; Ciel Compta or equivalent accounting software; Microsoft Excel at an advanced level; Pivot tables, formulas and dashboards in Excel; Microsoft Word and Outlook; the revised SYSCOHADA; Cameroonian taxation; Cameroonian social law; tele-declaration procedures; cost accounting; budget monitoring; preparation and analysis of financial statements; management indicators and financial reporting. A good command of French in writing as well as oral is necessary. Knowledge of English is an advantage. Desired qualities SOCAFT is looking for a rigorous, organized and honest person who can work with a high level of autonomy. The candidate must also demonstrate: compliance with deadlines; a good ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
