Job Description

The Sustainable Wildlife Management (SWM) Programme Specialist will support the implementation of the SWM Programme, which aims to reduce wildlife hunting, protect endangered species, and conserve biodiversity. The role involves providing technical expertise, developing guidelines, and supporting data collection and analysis across various project sites. The specialist will collaborate with FAO units and partners to ensure effective management of wildlife resources and contribute to communication and outreach efforts. This position requires a strong background in wildlife management and related fields. Advanced university degree in relevant fields At least five years of relevant experience for Category B consultants At least ten years of relevant experience for Category A consultants Working knowledge of English Intermediate knowledge of French is an asset Technical experience in sustainable wildlife management Excellent communication skills
