Our financial services / investment client in Sandton Johannesburg is looking for an Accountant for Bookkeeping/Accounting.

You need 5 years plus experience you need to be strong in EXCEL. Financial Accounting abilities is an added bonus. You need FOREX experience.

Salary: Up to R45 000 per month.

Requirements:

Matric plus relevant financial / accounting qualifications.

Bcom Degree an added bonus.

5+ years Accounting experience.

FOREX experience essential.

Candidates with Financial Accountant experience would therefore be advantageous.

Strong in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Experience with FOREX and International payments.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting / Bookkeeping duties on an ERP Software system – training to be provided.

Be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records.

Performing reconciliations (cash, credit card, EFT, membership, suppliers, and payment platforms).

Managing banking and cashbook activities, including month-end processing.

Supporting revenue processes, including reporting, invoicing, and journals.

Handling accounts payable, including payment runs and ageing reviews.

Preparing and capturing invoices.

Investigating and resolving reconciliation queries.

Monitoring unbanked receipts.

Supporting payroll and intercompany accounting.

Maintaining the fixed asset register.

Assisting with reporting and general finance administration.
