ABOUT EAGLES RISING
Eagles Rising High School is a new co-educational Christian boarding secondary school in Salima, which welcomed its founding Form 1 class in September 2026. We are building toward 320 students in Phase 1 and 600 when Phase 2 opens. Our mission is to equip young Malawians with technological skills, strong moral character, Christian values and leadership so they can transform their communities. Our LEADS values (Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, Discovery, Spirituality) shape everything we do.
THE ROLE
You will be one of our founding teachers, shaping how Mathematics and Computer Studies are taught at Eagles Rising from day one. You will teach both subjects to the MANEB/MSCE curriculum and help students see technology as something they build, not just use. Teaching: plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and Computer Studies lessons, with practical, hands-on computer lab sessions Assessment: set and mark tests, track each learner's progress and prepare students for MANEB examinations as the school grows Computer lab: help set up and run the lab, including rules for safe, responsible use of devices and the internet Problem-solving: link lessons to real local challenges, such as using data to improve farming or water access in Salima Clubs: lead or co-lead a Maths, Coding or Robotics club
Boarding life: take part in a fair rota of prep supervision, weekend and pastoral duties
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualification: a Bachelor's degree in Education (Mathematics or Computer Science), or a relevant degree plus a recognised teaching qualification Registration: registered, or eligible to register, with the Teachers Council of Malawi
Experience: at least 2 years teaching Mathematics and/or Computer Studies at secondary level; newly qualified teachers with strong results are welcome
