Job description We are seeking a passionate and professional Trails Guide to join a 5-star lodge team. The successful candidate will be the primary link between our guests and the natural world, responsible for delivering immersive, world-class safari experiences.

Key Responsibilities: Guided Safaris: Conduct twice-daily game drives and guided bush walks in the "Big 5" Black Rhino concession and greater Pilanesberg area.

Guest Hosting: Provide expert interpretive knowledge of local fauna, flora, and ecosystems while maintaining a sophisticated luxury atmosphere.

Safety & Ethics: Ensure the highest standards of guest safety, vehicle maintenance, and conservation ethics.

Extra Duties: Assist with guest transfers, bush coffee/sundowners, and basic lodge maintenance as required.

Requirements Minimum Requirements: Certification: FGASA Level 1 or 2 (NQF2/NQF4) and valid DEAT/NDT registration.

Trails Qualification: Full Lead Trails Guide or Close to lead Trails

Licenses: Valid Driver’s License with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

Skills: Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH), valid First Aid Level 1 or 2, and strong birding/tracking skills.

Experience: 2–3 years of guiding experience in a Big 5 environment.

Work cycle typically 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
