Department Position Overview The Supply Chain & Commodity Tracking Officer will provide expert technical assistance (TA) to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential health commodities at facilities within the district of focus. This role will coordinate closely Government of Malawi and USG-funded partners responsible for procurement and supply chain functions. It focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to manage quantification, forecasting, and distribution of supplies across integrated service delivery Key Responsibilities Coordinate with DHMT and health facility staff to ensure facilities maintain "Min-Max" stock levels of MNCH and Nutrition (including therapeutic foods) commodities Ensure DHMT and facilities are performing monthly and quarterly quantification exercises using consumption data and morbidity trends to inform procurement and prevent stockouts. Support DHMTs to identify facilities with excess stock or short-expiry items and coordinate logistics for inter-facility transfers to maximize resource utilization. Collaborate with Performance Assessment and Management (PAM) teams to integrate supply chain indicators into routine supervision and performance reviews.
