You plan the production in accordance with the specifications. You ensure the smooth running of the entire production chain: manufacturing, maintenance, quality, scheduling, methods and supply. You identify malfunctions and production contingencies, then provide corrective solutions to the main actors involved. You guarantee the quality and conformity of industrial activity, whether products, processes or the environment. You manage the main indicators of industrial performance and identify the levers to improve productivity and profitability: production capacity, efficiency, productivity, waste rates, equipment availability, production costs and timeliness.

You offer investments to improve production performance in the short, medium or long term: deployment of new technologies, automation, construction of a new workshop, training. You manage the investment plans, from the elaboration of specifications and tenders to the supervision of the implementation of new projects.
Administrative and financial management
You are in charge of relations with the main customers and suppliers of the company, including reception on the site and support of industrial subcontracting activities, in connection with purchasing and commercial services. You manage the economic and budgetary performance of the plant in connection with the Finance Department and management control. You monitor the amortization of equipment as well as the management of general maintenance and structural costs (wages, supplies, fleet management), always in connection with management control.
Human Resources Management and QHSE
You enforce the company’s social policy (internal regulations, company agreements) and ensure that employees’ rights are respected. With human resources, you anticipate the needs in terms of recruitment, mobility and skills development. You preside over meetings with staff delegates or health, safety and working conditions committees. You ensure the compliance of all the site and processes, as well as the correct application of all directives (General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR], hygiene safety environment [HSE], environmental requirements), by putting in place, especially in connection with quality and compliance managers, internal audit procedures and prevention actions.
Possible missions
You can intervene on transversal projects affecting the site, for example a certification or the implementation of an ERP, manage subcontractors and service providers, and define the purchasing policy. You ensure external communication in conjunction with the company’s or head office’s communications department, in a situation affecting your establishment. You represent the company to customers, administration and local economic actors.
Reporting relationship
Director-General.
Technical skills
You have excellent knowledge of the company’s business sector, its products and its positioning vis-à-vis the competition. You master all the technical constraints related to products and processes, in terms of production tools and product specificities. You have a good general business culture, especially purchasing, human resources and marketing. You master the principles of business strategy development, continuous improvement methodologies, industry-specific HSE quality and regulatory environments, management and budget control principles, as well as labour law. You know the tools and methods of predictive management of skills and the possible devices to promote the rise in skills within the company (recruitments, tutoring, training, mobility). You finally master the management tools.
