VACANCY

Pirimiti Hospital is one of the fastest growing hospitals under Zomba Diocese. The Hospital’s mission is to continue the healing ministry of Christ, promotion of human life, the provision of preventive, curative and rehabilitative services in holistic manner in accordance with the needs of the communities and call to compassion and having respect for dignity of the person in line with Catholic core values and principles. To achieve its mission statement, the Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the Position of Radiography Technician on hospital payroll.

    1. Reporting Officer 5.1. Direct : Chief Clinical Officer 5.2. Indirect : Senior Medical Officer.
    1. Job summary The Radiographer will be responsible for providing radiological services to patients regardless of their personal characteristics.

Responsabilités

    1. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure a cordial welcoming and guiding clients and patients undergoing radiological procedures. Providing thorough radiological procedures before the procedure is carried out. Ensuring that the imaging equipments are in good condition. Ensure that radiology department has required resources through lobbying with management through the Head of clinical department. Preparation of radiology department budget and present it to management for approval. Conducting audits of patient file to monitor patients care. Ordering resources for use in the radiology department. Scanning patients using the ultra sound scanning machine and interpret the results. Conduct proper filling of x-ray codes in the computer system. Promote a safe working environment by adhering to infection prevention procedures. Supervise cleanliness of radiology department and the junior staff. Evaluate and monitoring the quality of radiographs. Recording data in relevant registers. Performing any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Diploma in Radiography Technician obtained from recognized training institution Registered with Medical Council of Malawi.

Expérience

Preferably 2 years post – qualification experience is a busy hospital environment.
