The PIC 3 Acceleration Program, funded by the World Bank as part of Madagascar’s Economic Transformation for Inclusive Growth Project, is a multiphase initiative designed to empower high-potential SMEs and startups in the agribusiness and digital sectors. Implemented by a consortium of international and local accelerators, the program employs a rigorous selection process and provides tailored technical support, including diagnostics, individualized growth plans, mentoring, and advisory services to enhance business performance and market competitiveness. Selected enterprises undergo a 12-month acceleration phase focused on scaling operations, improving investment readiness, and accessing new markets, including international opportunities. The program also manages grants in coordination with the World Bank, mobilizes private financing, and tracks impact through key metrics such as revenue growth and job creation, while advancing gender inclusion and strengthening Madagascar’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Important note: This is a bid-dependent opportunity, meaning the role will only be established if the tender is awarded. The anticipated award date is August 2026, with program activities commencing in the fourth quarter of 2026.
- The Mission Lead will provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the PIC 3 Acceleration Program, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to international acceleration standards, and seamless coordination among consortium members and institutional stakeholders. This position oversees all program phases—from company selection to financing and market access support—while requiring fluency in French, with proficiency in English and/or Malagasy as an added advantage. The role is based in Antananarivo, Madagascar, with visa sponsorship available if necessary. Reporting to the HQ Project Director, the Mission Lead may directly supervise 3–4 team members and oversee a team of up to 12 staff, in addition to managing subcontractors.
