As a full-time Tour Guide, you will lead groups through the vibrant landscapes of Antsiranana and its surrounding areas daily, delivering guided tours that are clear, engaging, and safe. Your responsibilities include meticulously planning itineraries, verifying historical and cultural details, and tailoring your narrative to resonate with diverse audiences. You will address inquiries, handle special requests, provide a warm welcome, and actively promote The Guide’s offerings and services on-site. This role is fully field-based in Antsiranana, requiring consistent presence in tourist destinations and active engagement with visitors.
Proven expertise in guided tours and group leadership, with hands-on experience in tour management and organizational skills.
Formation / DiplĂ´mes
Exceptional communication abilities, including the talent to convey information effectively, speak with confidence, and adapt your approach to varied audiences. A customer-centric mindset, demonstrated through attentive listening, proactive service delivery, and adept handling of visitor feedback. Strong interest in local and cultural history, coupled with the ability to research thoroughly and present content in an accessible, engaging manner. Sales acumen is a plus, with the ability to highlight and promote The Guide’s offerings, recommend additional services, and enhance visitor experiences. Additional strengths include fluency in French and one or more foreign languages (such as English), punctuality, resilience in outdoor settings, professional appearance, and a collaborative team spirit.
