The Emergency Specialist at UNICEF provides strategic and technical leadership for emergency preparedness, response, and humanitarian access in the West and Central Africa Region. This role involves supporting Country Offices with risk analysis, emergency response planning, and coordination of humanitarian efforts. The specialist will also engage in capacity building, resource mobilization, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance emergency response capabilities. The position requires a commitment to child rights and effective humanitarian action aligned with UNICEF's Core Commitments for Children in Humanitarian Action. Advanced University degree in social sciences, public administration, law, public health, nutrition, international relations, or business administration Minimum eight years of professional work experience in programme/project development and management Skills in capacity building, resource mobilization, risk analysis, information management, and humanitarian coordination Fluency in English and French
