Grants & Fundraising Officer – MENA Place of work Jordan- Amman Category Level 4 - National position Line manager (L+1) Regional fundraising advisor Functional managers N/A Line Management (L-1) N/A Provides functional support to N/A Context Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh), founded in 1960, is Switzerland's largest children's rights organisation. Tdh is dedicated to making meaningful and lasting changes in the lives of children and young people, especially those who are most at risk. Tdh is active in some thirty countries, in humanitarian and development contexts. In the Middle East and North Africa ( MENA) , Tdh intervenes directly in 7 countries: Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Mission Under the supervision of the Regional Fundraising Advisor, the Grants & Fundraising Officer supports the Regional Office and country teams in the implementation of grants and fundraising activities across the MENA region. The role contributes to fundraising and grant-related processes, from opportunity tracking to proposal development and donor reporting, while supporting the unit's donor engagement and partnership efforts across the region. Key Responsibilities More specifically, the officer : Supports the identification and tracking of funding opportunities relevant to Tdh programmes in the MENA region.
Supports the development of project proposals, including compliance with donor requirements, action plans, writing, and registration/submission on donor platforms.
Ensures that grants and funding information in Engage360 (Tdh's internal system) is regularly updated and accurate and follows up with relevant teams to ensure completeness of information. Supports the coordination of internal and external reporting. Supports internal coordination and information sharing related to regional grants and fundraising activities. Supports donor and partner engagement, including the preparation of fundraising materials (e.g. updates, success stories) and partnership-related documentation.
Interpersonal skills Good ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Well organized, reliable and able to manage priorities and follow up on tasks. Ability to work and coordinate with different teams. Integrity, professionalism and commitment. Specific knowledge Good understanding of programme cycle management in development, emergency and protracted crisis contexts. Good understanding of fundraising principles, grants, proposal development and donor engagement practices. Requirements Training/Qualifications Master's degree / Equivalent degree from a university / Recognized school in international development, social sciences / development studies or any other related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an NGO, international organization or similar environment, preferably in grants, fundraising, proposal development or related functions. Experience using CRM, grants management or similar information management systems is an asset. Objectives for the upcoming period should be completed on the Line Supervisor Evaluation Interview Form and in consultation with the functional leaders. Commits to putting values and principles into practice through exemplary behaviour, in full compliance with the Code of Conduct, and always respecting established procedures and processes.
