The successful candidate will lead the FLMZ Executive Leadership Team and provide oversight across programmes and corporate/support functions, ensuring that strategy is translated into clear priorities, effective execution, responsible stewardship and measurable impact. The Country Director will be expected to build a strong and collaborative relationship between the Zambia and Dallas teams, maintaining appropriate local leadership and accountability while ensuring effective communication, transparency, consultation and alignment on matters of strategic and organisational significance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Country Director will: Provide Christ-centred executive leadership, modelling Family Legacy’s Christian values and ensuring that the ministry’s mission and Philosophy of Ministry remain central to organisational priorities, culture and decision-making. Lead the implementation of Family Legacy’s strategic priorities in Zambia, translating organisational strategy into clear annual plans, budgets, performance measures and accountable execution. Work closely with the President/CEO and FLMI executive leadership in Dallas, providing timely and transparent reporting, contributing to organisation-wide strategic discussions and ensuring effective alignment between FLMZ and FLMI. Lead, coach and develop the FLMZ Executive Leadership Team, establishing clear expectations, strengthening accountability and fostering a healthy, collaborative and high-performing leadership culture. Provide executive oversight of FLMZ’s programmes to ensure quality, integration, sustainability and measurable impact in the lives of the children and communities served. Ensure sound governance, legal and regulatory compliance, risk management and organisational accountability, working appropriately with FLMI leadership, Boards and relevant governance structures. Ensure that FLMZ has the appropriate organisational structures, leadership capacity, systems, policies and workforce required to deliver its mission effectively. Build a thriving organisational culture characterised by Christian service, integrity, unity, accountability, trust, continuous learning and high performance. Experience integrating Christian faith and biblical principles into organisational leadership, people management and decision-making will be highly desirable. ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN ZAMBIA Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Zambia. Given the Zambia-based and highly relational nature of the role, preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates who are already resident or stationed in Zambia and who have a strong understanding of the local operating environment.

  • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
