We are dedicated to safeguarding children's wellbeing and promoting community led solutions for lasting impact in child protection. Guided by the principles of child rights protection, we tackle complex issues through a holistic approach in sectors like Education, Water and Sanitation Hygiene, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods and Environment, aligning with our global mission to make the world a better place where children thrive and communities flourish. In Cameroon, we work with different international partners such as the United Nations, Bilateral Donors and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. I. Project context The KOICA Phase Il project, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, aims to strengthen local systems and governance structures to improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations. The project focuses on enhancing education, child protection, WASH, and social services in the East Region of Cameroon, particularly in Lom and Djerem and Kadey Divisions. Through this initiative, Good Neighbors Cameroon seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated professional for the position of Education Officer to support project implementation.     2. Purpose of the role      The Education Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of education interventions under the KOICA Phase Il project. The role aims to ensure that vulnerable children, including refugees and children from host communities, have equitable access to inclusive, safe and quality learning environments.   The Education Officer will work closely with local education authorities, municipalities, schools and communities to strengthen education systems, improve school enrolment and retention, and support integrated service delivery at the community level.     Key Responsibilities      Under the supervision of the Assistant Program Manager, the Education Officer will: Program Implementation      Coordinate and support the planning and implementation ofeducation activities at community and municipal levels.      Support the establishment and functioning of Community Mechanisms for Monitoring Enrolment and Attendance (COSIFE) to track out-of-school children and prevent dropouts.      Provide technical support to School Councils in the development and implementation of School Improvement Plans (SIP). Capacity Building      Coordinate teacher training initiatives in collaboration with the Regional Delegation of Basic Education (DREB) and relevant authorities.      Support teachers in the integration of digital learning tools and ICT resources in education. Community Engagement      Engage communities and local authorities to promote inclusive education, particularly for girls, children with disabilities, and refugee children.      Facilitate community dialogues and awareness activities related to education access and retention. Logistics and Coordination      Support the organization and monitoring of school kit distribution activities.      Ensure proper coordination with municipalities, IAEB, and community stakeholders. Monitoring and Reporting      Support monitoring and evaluation activities, i cluding data collection, documentation of best practices, and reporting.      Prepare regular weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on project activities.      Participate in coordination meetings with UNICEF, education authorities, and project partners.        Representation      Represent Good Neighbors Cameroon in relevant education sector meetings and coordination platforms when required. 3.    Oualification Required      Masters' Degree in Education, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, or a field related to International Development.      Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing education programs in humanitarian or development contexts in Cameroon.      Proven experience in Education in Emergencies (EiE) and working with displaced and disadvantaged populations.      Expertise in Social and Behavior Change (SBC), with the ability to facilitate community dialogues and mobilize traditional and religious leaders around sensitive issues like girls' education.      Strong technical understanding of integrated programming, specifically how to link education objectives with WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Child Protection outcomes.      In-depth knowledge of Cameroon's National education policies, the DREB/IAEB institutional frameworks      Experience in local governance or advocacy with municipal authorities is a strong asset.   Good knowledge of national education policies and frameworks, as well as UNICEF standards.      Strong capability in results-based monitoring and the production of high-quality reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).      Proven ability in supervision, multi-sectoral coordination, and capacity building;      Experience working in a similar context or with similar stakeholders (government, communities, etc.)      Must be ready and available to travel in places that the project is being implemented      Good computer skills (Microsoft Words, Excel; PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) Required Skills      Good interpersonal, communication, networking and coordination skills      Commitment to child protection, gender equality and participation      Positive team player with a great attitude        Fluency in French and working knowledge of English. Knowledge of local language(s) of the duty station is an asset.      Good conceptual skills with ability to elaborate read, analyze and edit documents   4.    Constitution of files
