In Rwanda, where our program—operating under the Suburb brand since 2007—is our largest, we employ over 3,000 staff across all four provinces and Kigali, having served 2.8 million farmers in 2024. Our collaboration with the government advances national food security goals, while we also facilitate funding and resources for arises, creating market opportunities for high-impact crops like coffee, avocado, and chili. We seek a detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to serve as the operational foundation of our Country Program, ensuring vehicles—including trucks, motorbikes, and cars—remain safe, accessible, and cost-efficient to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of supplies to field teams. Key responsibilities include building and sustaining a dependable transport network by managing vendor onboarding, compliance verification, performance monitoring, and contract negotiations; coordinating transportation assignments, load scheduling, and delivery documentation; and optimizing fleet utilization, vehicle leasing, and fuel distribution across regions. You will track performance metrics through dashboards, analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop route optimization strategies based on road conditions and operational constraints. Additionally, you will train teams on transportation systems, document best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety. This role requires 2–3 years of experience in transportation operations, fleet management, or logistics coordination, along with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong vendor relationship management, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to efficiency and service excellence. The position is open to Rwandan citizens or permanent residents, based in Sarong, with benefits including health insurance and paid time off.
