This position serves as the primary liaison for leadership, providing guidance, supervision, and oversight to their assigned department. The incumbent collaborates with the team to achieve daily objectives in safety, quality, productivity, and inventory management while demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace safety. They ensure adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) among team members. Key responsibilities include leading ‘start of shift’ meetings, assigning tasks, and troubleshooting production floor challenges. The role monitors and addresses quality concerns, escalating issues to supervisors as needed, and delivers constructive feedback to associates regarding operational discrepancies. Additionally, they assess labor utilization, adjust resource allocation as necessary, and coordinate efforts with other team leads and supervisors. Ensuring the accuracy of quality management system training records and controlled work instruction copies is also essential. The position facilitates cross-training initiatives within the department and conducts training sessions when required. They track mechanical downtime, daily performance metrics, order processing, and material availability, while performing any other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with consideration given to relevant work experience in place of formal education. A minimum of four years of manufacturing experience is required, along with proficiency in quality management and enterprise resource planning systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of training, certifying, and performing all roles within the department.
