Greenhouse Technician
CIMMYT is seeking a Greenhouse Technician to support the operation and maintenance of breeding and phenotyping greenhouse facilities in Bambey, Senegal. The role involves managing greenhouse operations, supporting research activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation protocols. The technician will also handle soil and growing media management, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
This position requires a strong background in agriculture or related fields and practical experience in greenhouse operations.

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field. At least one year of relevant experience in greenhouse or agricultural research. Practical experience in greenhouse operations. Experience in plant propagation or crop research. Knowledge of greenhouse operations and irrigation systems. Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills. Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities. Ability to work independently and in teams. Working knowledge of English and French.
