Location: Central Province, Zambia Employment Type: Contract We are looking for a motivated and personable Merchandiser to join our team in Central Province. The successful candidate will support product visibility, sales activities, customer engagement, and relationships with agro-dealers and farmers within the assigned area. Key Responsibilities Merchandising & Stock Management – Ensure products are well-displayed, properly stocked, and readily available at assigned outlets. Customer & Agro-Dealer Relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, and other customers. Sales & Market Development – Identify sales opportunities, support order generation, and contribute to achieving sales targets within the assigned territory. Product Promotion & Demonstrations – Conduct product demonstrations and support promotional campaigns, field days, and agricultural events. Market Monitoring – Monitor competitor activities, pricing, customer preferences, and market trends, providing regular feedback to the company. Customer Support & Follow-up – Respond to customer enquiries, provide product information, and follow up on orders and customer needs. Reporting & Field Activities – Maintain accurate records of field visits, sales activities, stock levels, and customer feedback, and submit regular reports. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Minimum of a Diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, or an equivalent qualification . Experience working with or within the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) will be an added advantage. Previous experience in merchandising, sales, field marketing, agribusiness, or a related role is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Word and Excel. Good understanding of agricultural products and farming practices. Valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage. Must be able to speak local languages Key Skills & Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused and approachable. Good sales and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Good observation and reporting skills. Ability to identify and respond to market opportunities. Willingness to travel and work in the field.
