The company seeks to employ a fleet supervisor , who will act as a link between drivers, mechanics and management in order to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and efficiently utilized. Key Responsibilities; Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and prioritize maintenance and repairs, working with mechanics to address defects and ensure safety standards. Driver Supervision: Oversee driver performance, training, and compliance with company policies and government regulations. Fleet Operations Management: Coordinate vehicle assignments, monitor availability and ensure vehicles are operational and properly maintained. Breakdown and Emergency Response: Manage on-road vehicle failures, coordinate towing or roadside service, and arrange replacement vehicles to minimize operational disruption. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records, and prepare for audits. Fleet Performance Analysis: Track fuel usage, analyse fleet data, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs Requirements; Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to coordinate between drivers, mechanics, and management Knowledge of fleet management software and compliance systems Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cost-effectiveness Experience in fleet management or transportation operations is highly preferred. Must have a grade twelve (12) certificate, qualifications in transport and logistics will be an added advantage.
