Water/Effluent Technician

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operate equipment used to purify and clarify water and process or dispose of effluent. Add appropriate treatment chemicals such as alum, soda ash and chlorine. Inspect treatment equipment regularly and monitor operating conditions, meters, gauges and control panels. Collect and test water and effluent samples, including samples for laboratory analysis. Record operational data, meter and gauge readings and maintain accurate treatment-process records. Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds and work areas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Diploma in Water Engineering. At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of water and effluent treatment. Knowledge of effluent treatment standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Mechanical Technician

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support machine installation and commissioning requirements. Service, maintain and troubleshoot machines and related equipment. Carry out reactive maintenance to minimise machine failures and inefficiencies. Conduct regular checks for potential workplace and job-site hazards. Optimise mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings. Maintain accurate and timely machine and maintenance records. Monitor availability of spare parts and stock requirements. Train colleagues on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment. Maintain a tidy and safe working environment while adhering to applicable industry regulations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Post-secondary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. At least 3 years proven experience in a similar mechanical/technical role, including troubleshooting. Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, installations, maintenance and repairs. Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics. Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities. Microsoft Office proficiency is desirable.
