Track portfolio and trading performance, including ROI, benchmark performance, settlement efficiency, yield, and other relevant investment KPIs. Prepare valuation, pricing, and financial analyses for capital market transactions in accordance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements. Monitor market, credit, liquidity, operational, and settlement risks, and promptly escalate significant exposures or breaches. Support regulatory compliance and reporting relating to SEC, NGX, FMDQ, CBN, and other applicable capital market requirements and intermediaries. Prepare investment research reports, portfolio performance reports, market updates, and presentation materials for management and weekly investment meetings. Maintain effective working relationships with brokers, banks, custodians, counterparties, and internal teams, supporting trade execution, settlement, market intelligence, and investment-related enquiries.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Nigerian capital markets, investment management, securities trading, treasury, asset management, or a related financial services environment. Strong knowledge of Nigerian capital market operations and regulations, including SEC, NGX, FMDQ, CBN requirements, and applicable investment and trading guidelines. Demonstrated experience in investment research, securities analysis, trade execution, portfolio monitoring, valuation, and performance analysis across fixed income, equities, FX, or other approved asset classes. SEC Sponsored Individual/SEC registration or relevant professional certification such as CFA, CIS, CISI, ACT, ACA/ACCA is an added advantage. Expert Application Advice
Always tailor your CV to mirror the exact language used in the job posting. For example, if Credpal Limited lists "les compétences demandées dans l'annonce" as critical, ensure this phrase appears prominently in your experience summary. This shows you've carefully read their needs and are a direct match.
Positioning — Your cover letter must answer one question: why YOU for THIS specific role right NOW? Avoid generic templates — one sentence on what you specifically bring beats three generic paragraphs.
Software and standards — Specify your actual accounting tools and standards knowledge. Finance technical tests often cover reconciliation cases or variance analysis — practice these with real examples.

- •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
- •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
- •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
- •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
- •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
- •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
