The Storekeeper plays a pivotal role in maintaining storerooms, overseeing stock management, and ensuring seamless operations. Duties include tracking inventory, processing purchases, and maintaining accurate records in both physical and digital systems. Collaborating closely with the receiving – General Finance Clerk and Procurement Officer, the Storekeeper verifies inventory accuracy, organizes stock receipts, and fulfills departmental requisitions promptly. Additional responsibilities encompass stock rotation, surplus disposal, and minor repairs, alongside managing freight logistics and generating purchase orders for restocking. To excel in this role, candidates must possess foundational accounting knowledge, exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in business operations.
