COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (M4) This role entails providing strategic direction in shaping and executing the Authority’s corporate communication, public relations, media engagement, and stakeholder communication initiatives. The Communications Manager will safeguard and enhance the Authority’s corporate reputation, ensuring timely and consistent dissemination of its mandate, regulatory decisions, programmes, and initiatives while fostering public trust and confidence. The position involves delivering strategic communication guidance to senior leadership, coordinating media and public relations activities, overseeing digital communication channels, managing communication campaigns, and leading responses to emerging communication and reputational challenges. Key Responsibilities: – Developing and executing corporate communication, public relations, and media engagement strategies. – Managing the Authority’s corporate reputation and ensuring alignment with its mandate. – Coordinating media relations, regulatory communication, and stakeholder engagement efforts. – Overseeing digital communication platforms, including social media and online campaigns. – Designing and implementing public awareness programmes to strengthen stakeholder understanding. – Leading internal communication initiatives and managing crisis or reputational issues. – Upholding corporate branding, publications, and events to reinforce the Authority’s identity. – Conducting communication research, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. – Supervising staff performance, monitoring progress, and reporting on key communication metrics. Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
